Wedding Ceremony Checklist:

 

 

The idea of spending your rest of the life with someone you love or you can love and rely on is something most beautiful on this earth. No doubt marriage brings many compromises and sacrifices too but the togetherness and support which it brings with itself is something which is the essence of this relationship. To bind two souls, hearts and bodies forever sacred ceremony of wedding has to be performed. Every religion and culture has its own way to perform the wedding ceremony but no matter what the specific rituals are there are few preparations and planning which every wedding ceremony has to take into account to make it a success.

 

Following is a wedding ceremony checklist which one must go through to make sure everything is in line before the grand day:

 

  • Finalize a Wedding Ceremony date, keeping in mind the holidays and other sacred days or events which might not be suitable for the wedding.
  • Decide outfits for the bride, bridesmaid, groom and groomsman. Look for all the dressing accessories.
  • Select and order dress for bride and groom’s parents.
  • Set parlor appointments.
  • Book the church or any other venue for wedding ceremony in advance. This must be done well in advance preferably 6 to 12 months before the wedding date.
  • Decide on the wedding ceremony type if the bride and groom have different faiths.
  • Decide on the promises and other clauses to be filled in the wedding documents so as to avoid surprises on the wedding day, for example, deciding the amount to be given in case of divorce (in Asian cultures) or the promises which bride and groom will make or will decide not to make.
  • Decide if your wedding ceremony would be double ring ceremony o single ring.
  • Set wedding budget and create a payment monitoring system
  • Decide on the guest list and make sure seating arrangement is adequate.
  • Decide on the color scheme, theme and other decorations of the venue.
  • For photography of the wedding ceremony check with the church if it allow photography not.
  • Send invitations to guests.
  • Assign duties to wedding party like nominate someone to take care of gifts, make someone the supervisor, designate someone to take care of food and stuff etc.
  • Make tip envelops in advance. Shop for wedding gifts.
  • Arrange for the wedding car.
  • Don’t overlook minor things which are easily forgettable. Take into account everything which can effect your preparations and planning for example rain, last minute arrival of unexpected guests etc.
  • Arrange for the wedding reception as it will follow the wedding ceremony.
